What a wonderful and educational experience. Just being in the fields was terrific aromatherapy! I want a lavender farm now!!
My friend and I both enjoyed ourselves today. We loved smelling the different types of lavender and we enjoyed having conversations about how life has been during this pandemic and how we miss spending time together. This is definitely something we would like to do again next year!!!
Great experience, perfect for school aged kids! Thank you!
Our visit was everything we thought it would be. My granddaughters had a great time and you were patient and informative with all the questions. Loved taking our lavender home. Thank you for making the world a better, happier place.
I applaud Amy and Tom's endeavors on several levels: environmentally, philanthropically, educationally and olfactory!!! Visited once with a friend and had to return for a second gathering of lovely lavender.
My family went to Lavender Trails this morning. Jim was so professional and knowledgeable. It was such a fun way to spend the morning. The lavender smells so good. It was fun cutting a bunch to take home. Thank you so much!
I traveled with my two grandsons (11 &12) from Brecksville. We were delighted with the new use of the field and the boys enjoyed looking for different varieties to pick. it was a great surprise for there Mom when she finished work that day. Thanks and i'd liketo invite the rest of my herb friends.
The Wayne County Herb Society had a lovely visit. We learned about reclaiming brown space to green space. We saw beauty in purple, white and green of the lavender field, and filled ourselves with fragrances. We saw a pollinator garden, daylilys, and bees. Whimsy was provided with photo-ops. Our group of 9 was allowed to split a large bundle with some purchasing smaller bundles too. We wore masks and scissors were cleaned, so we felt safe even when congregated for a photo. Thanks for a lovely morning.
Thank you so much for the wonderful morning walking through the lavender and enjoying the amazing smell. Peaceful and comforting w/a bonus of helping others and a bouquet to take home. Thank you for sharing with others.
This was great fun. Especially being able to talk with Amy about how she and her husband i vested do much time, love and energy in reclaiming this field. Though it was drizzling and a good number of the plants were spent there were still enough to clip and some blooms yet to come. I really loom forward to another visit, next summer, at the height of bloom. A really fun experience. Thank you Amy.
You cancelled appt due rain
Perfectly wonderful experience!
This afternoon we booked a visit to Lavender Trail Farm. A former brownfield converted to a lovely lavender garden. We were greeted by the owner and she explained the procedure for harvesting our own bouquet of lavender. We walked the garden, took a few pictures and returned to our car. On the way home we enjoyed the fragrance of the lavender. This was a fun little trip. We ate bbq in Orville at Old Carolina BBQ. Yummy, very yummy.
Very educational visit.
Personalized and enthusiastic explanation of the various kinds of lavender. Drizzly day on our visit, but we picked a lovely bunch of the lavender and had a nice morning.
What a lovely way to spend some time! It was amazing to see how a field of cement and rocks was turned into a lavendar oasis. What vision. We learned som much and look forward to returning next year.
Thank you for the hospitality and sharing your passion with us. We enjoyed our day 100%. And we're still enjoying the memories with our take home bouquet. Hope to see you next year too.
great place lots of fun, interesting
We had a great time. Very informative and loved the way all the varieties are planted and labeled. Went with a friend and we both got a lovely bouquet to bring home. Would love some of next years lavender honey.
A wonderful experience
It was a great experience! Educational, fun and rewarding!!!! We came home with lavendar that has filled our home with the most lovely scent!!! I learned so much! Amy was very friendly and informative! We really enjoyed it.... A+ my adult family says!!! We will add this to our places to visit often! Thank you so much for providing such a nice spot! Clean, safe and natural!
WE were very impressed with the lavender field!! We each picked a bunch of lavender and I have already made lavender simple syrup and lavender honey and plan to make lavender cupcakes and lavender shortbread. I wish the picking season was a little longer! I recommend this field to everyone who loves lavender. The hosts are very knowledgeable and helpful.
It was a little disappointing as we were thinking ‘fields’ not row fields. But still managed to get a few senior pictures for my niece. We traveled over an hour😕 guess more research on our part would of been better.
I was very pleasantly surprised with my visit to Lavender Trails. The grounds were very neatly kept and the guides welcoming and informative. What a lovely furute for this former brown space!
After a hectic and stressful week, my friend and I went out to Lavender Trails. What a treasure this place is! We had not known it existed until seeing an article in the Cleveland newspaper. We found carefully tended varieties of lavender, some of which were hard to come by, and all were a delight. The added bonus of a mission statement which includes responsible, organic farming, repurposing a former industrial site to a green space, and part of admission proceeds going to a charity that helps vulnerable kids, makes the trip to Lavender Trails a must-do trip for your summer. We applaud Lavender Trails!
Owners very informative and organized. Had a great time making my lavender bundle.
What a beautiful way to spend the day. The owners were very knowledgable and friendly about their business. Love that they are creating beauty out of a brownfield!! Take your family and friends, donate to their amazing business and go have fun!!
Amazing! I am so glad we stopped out! My mom I learned a lot and had fun smelling all the lavenders! Thank you for educating us!
Lavender Trails was a wonderful experience. Made for a beautiful day in the country. Brought home a fragrant bouquet. Looking forward to next year. It’s great that a portion of the proceeds go to a good cause.
We really enjoyed our time at Lavender Fields. We were greeted by a smiling face who gave us a short tour. We were then on our own to enjoy the experience. Brought home a fragrant bouquet. Would definitely recommend to others. Looking forward to next year. It’s wonderful that a portion of the proceeds go to a good cause.
great place to relax and "smell the flowers". Enjoyed chatting with you. Thanks
A great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our outing. Thank you for such a nice experience!
We had a wonderful time! Such a beautiful little hidden gem!! So informative and friendly!! We’ll definitely be back!
Lovely place to learn about and get lavender. The owners were super helpful and friendly.
My family and I enjoyed picking lavender and the information provided about the different kinds of English vs French. We took pictures there that were beautiful Looking forward to going next year.
Had an absolutely wonderful time. Very educational and invigorating. Would fully recommend.
So much fun for a girls’ night! The owners were so helpful and knowledgeable. Such a friendly atmosphere. Will be coming again next year!
It was a very nice evening walk thru the lavender. We were able to pick a bouquet and take it home.
We enjoyed our visit! We appreciated the opportunity to pick what we liked and came away with more knowledge of lavender than what we came with. Great teachers ❤️. Good luck this year!
It was a very enjoyable experience and very educational. It was so interesting to learn about the concept of the Brownfield. They have turned this previous unsightly brownfield into a peaceful tranquil space. The lavender is beautiful, and so fragrant. It's fun to walk the rows where they have props to take your pictures while cutting your lavender. You'll end up with a nice bouquet of lavender to take home and enjoy. We would highly recommend going.
What a wonderful experience for a city gal. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our visit to Lavender Trails. We were impressed with the education, the conservation, and of course, the opportunity to hang out with the fragrance and the bees. Thank you for creating this place!
A great way to spend an hour! The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to our next trip!
The hosts were very personable and clearly excited about their project in reclaiming an unusable industrial lot using lavender and the supporting ecosystem. The experience was great, and we felt welcomed and equally enthusiastic about lavender when we were finished. Great learning experience for young and old and all in between. Thank you for a fun and unique time!
My first time picking it was so much fun. It won't be my last time. Great time.
Excellent! Learned so much about the types and uses of lavender that they grow. Great drive down from Cleveland. Lots of different kinds of lavender to pick. There is also a pollinator garden path. So glad we took the trip.
Really enjoyed the visit and learn a lot about Lavender. It is a very warm and inviting experience. Rewarding to take home sprigs of lavender and a potted plant with instructions for care and planting
We made it a 3 generation outing! So fun to get out of the house and walk thru the lavender field. The aroma was refreshing! Granddaughter Ioves the lavender wreath❗️
We so enjoyed our time at Lavender Trials today. Learned a lot and had a very peaceful meditation. It would be a wonderful place for a qigong or yoga class session.
The lavendar smelled so nice and was really pretty. Will definitely be returning next year.
It was beautiful. A great family experience.
A beauty to behold! A nice outing to brouse, choose a plant to run your fingers through, and enjoy the fragrance that enfolds as you sit on one of the benches and look over the fields. Thanks for the tour, Amy.
It was great to cut our own lavenders, this is their first year hopefully year by year they will have more plants, and they will grow bigger . Enjoyed our day.
Thank you, thank you! Our family had a wonderful time roaming around the lavender plants, the pollinator hut, and with the photo ops. You did a wonderful thing by planting this field. So thankful to have this bright spot in our little town!
Learned a lot about lavender never knew there was more then one kind. Very informative and great experience to cut your own bouquet. Will definitely be back.
Fun, informative and the lavendar field was beautiful!!
Absolutely beautiful! What a gem for Orrville!
Absolutely beautiful! What a gem for Orrville!
Friendly, informative and fun for all ages!
Our entire family enjoyed our visit! The kids couldn’t believe they could cut the lavender. The owners were so helpful and friendly. We went for ice cream in Orrville and it was a great day!
Lavender Trails is a wonderful experience in learning about and enjoying the amazing lavender plants. The aromas, peacefulness and beauty of walking through the rows allows you to forget about all the trials of pandemics, traffic and noise. Being able to take home a small bouquet and also knowing that part of the fee goes to assist those having Down’s Syndrome made it all the more rewarding. This appeals to every age group and the walking in the rows of flowers is easy to navigate. There are also informational pictures and a secret pollinator hut for younger children. It is also the only place I know where you can actually transform yourself into a butterfly!!
The Lavender Trail was a nice surprise for my wife! The host were friendly, informative, and it showed that they were enjoying what they do there. We will be back late next spring! WELL DONE!
Very pretty place to visit and wonderful way to restore the land. They were very friendly and the field full of lavender plants is peaceful and beautiful.
Great experience! We learned a lot - she answered all our questions. The lavender we took home is wonderful. Will absolutely go back.
We had a wonderful time! Felt totally safe and socially distanced with no effort! A beautiful place and wonderful people ! The absolute BONUS is that they are supporting the UpSide of Downs. !!!!!
Loved this little homegrown oasis. Beautiful sensory experience! Make sure you take advantage of the many photo ops. Thanks for enlightening us with your knowledge!
What a wonderful idea and I had no idea it was causal related. The owners are friendly and informative. The fields are in a cute setting and it smells amazing. We enjoyed the visit and look forward to visiting again next year.
We had a lovely lavender experience! Thank you so much for the education, lavender and peaceful experience!
Nice visit owners helpful after we left wished we had asked more questions , will have to make another trip !
So a nice place and the owners are also very pleasant. Would go there again.
A nice place to walk around and smell the Lavender and bring home a nice bundle.
Beautiful labor of love! Highly recommend a visit! Thank you Jim and Amy!
We had no idea what to expect but we were ready for a short road trip to celebrate grandmas birthday. We left with a joyful heart, 2 generous bundles of many types of lavender, pink, white, deep purple and pastel purple. Jim educated us about how to cut our fresh lavender and care for the plant after harvest, he answered our many questions and left us with the desire to one day plant some lavender in our own yards. The day was warm but a slight breeze and the smell of lavender calmed our minds. Thank you for a wonderful birthday blessing! Very nice and fun experience.
Such a beautiful setup and it smelled amazing. I loved seeing all the bees, butterflies and dragonflies roaming about. Lots of fun, had a great time!
Jack & I enjoyed this morning’s visit very much despite the heat. It is as close to the lavender fields in France that we can get and it will only get better with each passing year.
What a wonderful experience. So friendly and inviting and informative.
Lovely owners- kind and friendly. Great for lavender lovers - beautiful flowers to take home.
Wow! What to say!! This is such a beautiful place! We are so impressed with the work, dedication and love that went into changing this part of an industrial park into a field of gorgeousness!!! We loved learning about the process of putting this garden together, the different types of lavender and the best way to smell the lavender. But most of all we loved getting the time to walk around and get our own bouquet to take home. Thank you so much for an amazing experience! We will be back!!!
Very nice, enjoyed the time we spent there
Amy was very enthusiastically greeted my 4 grandchildren and me. She was very knowledgeable on the flower species. We were shown how to get the fragrance for smell from them. I have to admit I was expecting larger, more prominent plants, but I didn't realize they just planted a year ago. We had a good experience.
Awesome experience! The Lavender was beautiful and smelled amazing! Great for something to do with friends or family's!
We enjoyed the visit especially my granddaughter and my son also Clarissa. A beautiful day to do this. Also a surprise visit from the reporter.
Lavender Trails - a true gem added to the ville. Amy and Jim were incredible hosts and really spent time with us to educate our family on lavender. Our kids are 8 and 4 and they loved having their own pair of scissors and cutting their own bundles of lavender. Make sure you bring your camera or that your cell phone is charged. Beautiful photo options. Thank you again! We really enjoyed ourselves.
Great way to spend a peaceful hour and learn a little more about lavender and how beautiful a former dumping ground now is.
A most delightful experience along with being very informative. This is a treasure in Orrville.
We had a nice time this morning. We walked the fields and it was fun to pick out and cut our own lavender. Amy was very nice and informative. It made the experience enjoyable! Will be anxious for next year to see the lavender grow bigger and hopefully be able to attend the festival!
A fun and accessible location with great hosts and a great way to reinvent a space and bring joy to the community. I would definitely recommend.
Very Friendly people and very informative! It was so much fun to pick the lavender and it smells wonderful! I Definitely reccomend a trip out there!
It exceeded my expectations. The cuttings of lavender were generous and have since added a lovely smell to our home and cars. Our children enjoyed not only the first visit but also the second time we visited the Trails. Jim and Amy were fantastic hosts!
Had a wonderful time! Hoping to make it a yearly summer event. Jim and Amy were excellent hosts.💜💜💜💜
Great place to take your family! Peaceful and a great way to enjoy some nature!
Great way to learn about growing lavender. Who knew there were so many varieties? It’s wonderful to see a former dumping area turned into something beautiful. Looking forward to a non COVID festival next year.
Jim and Amy were great! They introduced us to their lavender field, their new bees, and their pollinator garden. We had many opportunities to take pictures at the various props. Jim even took our picture at the end and captured some nice photos. The lavender field had plenty of lavender (3 kinds) to choose from. We got a nice bundle. The kids, and adults too, enjoyed smelling and cutting the lavendar.
Had a great time walking around! Only suggestion, maybe kid scissors available too :)
The fields are beautiful! It was nice to stroll around and pick the lavender! I wish it could have been a real festival with vendors and music! One more thing this virus has ruined this year!
Five of us found Lavendar Trail to be delightful, interesting, inviting and refreshing! It is quite an amazing story and is a testament to dedication to making a positive difference for the love of nature. Well worth the visit.
We really enjoyed our visit to Lavender Trails! The owners were very kind and helpful with showing us around. There are all different kinds of lavender to cut and you are able to take a big bouquet home for $20. Lots of cute photo ops too. Would highly recommend!
It was very hot and the fields are not that big yet, but we where very impressed with the care that was taken to turn a brownfield into such beauty. Took lots of pictures!
We loved visiting and seeing the different types of lavender. CONGRATULATIONS on creating something wonderful!
Impressive! Such a wonderful place. Love lavender. A lot of hard work has gone into this and I look forward to visiting each year to see the growth.
Such a lovely afternoon with a unique experience! One suggestion... maybe make a tripod or stand available for group pix opps at butterfly?
Beautiful place to take pictures. Owners were gracious and the plants were high quality.
What a wonderful birthday present. The owners were so nice and it was so relaxing and fun. What a great idea!
